About Jay Woodcox
I became a tattoo artist in order to create works for clients that fit their artistic interests and sentiment.
I leave my art open to any and all possibilities and I try my best to make every piece that I do better than the last. My approach is more on the wants and needs of you the client as opposed to what I think you should wear on your skin.
Influences and Preferences
My influences and interests range from photo-realistic wildlife reproduction, oddities of the realistic genre and Day of the Dead/Dia de los Muertos sugar skull imagery. My preference is to work in black and gray; however, I also love to work with bright and bold colors when appropriate.
Most of the tattoo work that I do is a process of getting in the client’s head and communicating a strong concept so that an even stronger result is produced. I reference the material needed so I can get a better understanding of exactly what you are looking for in an endpiece. It’s your body so the more homework you do before you arrive for your free consultation moves the tattoo process that much faster.
Thank you for taking the time to view my artwork.
I hope to see you soon,
